Former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida GCFR, has described the late Tony Anenih as a charismatic elder statesman who had unique passion of providing solutions in the governance of the country.
Anenih died on Sunday at the age of 85.
In a tribute on the death of the octogenarian released by his media office, General Babangida said, “The demise of Chief Tony Anenih, is a big loss to the political scene of Nigeria at this crucial time of electioneering campaign.
“Indeed Nigeria and Nigerians, will greatly missed a political master strategist in the next political dispensation.”
Babangida, on behalf of himself and his entire family, extended his condolences to the immediate family of the late Anenih, Oba of Benin, government and people of Edo state as well as the entire members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
