Three Suspected Ritualists Arrested with Coffins in Abuja by the Police

In Federal Capital Territory (FCT), police have arrested three individuals, Uluko Adukwu, 28, Salisu Aduh, 38, and Adams Halilu, 24, on suspicion of being involved in ritualistic activities. SP Istifanus Sunday Bako, Public Relations Officer for Zone 7 Command in Abuja, disclosed this information in a statement.

According to the statement, detectives raided Jikwoyi and Orozo along the Karu axis on Wednesday based on actionable intelligence. The suspects, all residents of the nation’s capital and originally from Kogi State, were apprehended along with two boys, ages 11 and 13, believed to be their victims.

Bako stated that the gang confessed to using charms to defraud people and supplying charms to internet fraudsters engaged in rituals, commonly referred to as Yahoo Plus. The police pointed out that the fraudsters subsequently use the charms on their targets, occasionally resulting in the death of some victims.

Recovered from the suspects were three empty caskets, one Toyota Prado, one Lexus 330 car, 15 mobile phones, clothing, and women’s underwear believed to belong to deceased victims. The Zone 7 AIG, Kayode Egbetokun (now DIG), urged individuals to exercise caution about where they worship and to report any suspicious activities to the police.
