Armed men suspected to be from Bogoma village of Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have abducted 16 local miners in the region.
DSP Yakubu Sabo, spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the incident on Wednesday.
The miners were abducted on their way home after they had finished their mining business for the day.
The Kaduna State Police Command described the incident as unfortunate, adding that the command’s anti-kidnapping squad has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers with a view to arresting them and rescuing the miner
