Police arrest second suspect over alleged murder of missing woman in Delta



The Police have arrested a suspect, Akpoghene Shoemaker over the alleged murder of a missing woman, Ms Patience Komone(50).

The arrest of Akpoghene is coming days after one Onos Simon was arrested by the Police in Oleh community in connection with murder.

Akpoghene is the second suspect arrested so far in the case.

The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrest in a WhatsApp message sent to Iur Correspondent.

He said, “The second suspect, Akpoghene Shoemaker has been arrested”.

It would be recalled that the suspect, Akpoghene Shoemaker and Onos Simon connived to rape, rob the victim of the sum of forty thousand before killing her, using a machete at a pepper farm in Umeh community.

They( suspects)also removed her eyes and private parts for ritual purposes.

The first suspect, according to the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Ari Muhammed Ali had earlier confessed that one lucky Daniel of Ohoro town contracted them to bring the body parts for him after paying them One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000).
