COVID-19: Kano cases exceed 1,000

Kano State on Monday night confirmed five new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19)

According to the data from the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, the total number of cases in Kano stands at 1004.

Kano is one of the most hit States by the novel coronavirus in the Northern part of the country since its outbreak in Nigeria.

As of Monday, the State has recorded 1004 cases, 477 discharged, with 49 deaths recorded.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire has confirmed that almost 1,000 strange deaths recorded in Kano State were linked to the coronavirus disease.

The team investigating the mysterious deaths in the State on Monday confirmed that a total of 979 people died in eight local government areas of Kano State.
