Death penalty awaits kidnappers in Kano – Ganduje

Kano State Government has ordered for the immediate amendment of panel code to death penalty to kidnappers in the state.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated during inauguration of 16- man committee of inquiry on Kano 9 children recently kidnapped and sold in Onitsha, Anambra State.

The Governor order the state Ministry of Justice to immediately amend the state panel code to stipulate death penalty on kidnappers.

He explained that both Islam and Christianity have condemned the act of kidnapping.

“Kidnapping is an act of criminality both religions have condemned the act in tonality,” he stated.
