A tragic incident occurred at the Yobe State University, Damaturu, when a student named Maryam Lawan Goroma suddenly slumped and passed away shortly after completing her examination. Despite appearing healthy and hearty before the incident, Maryam’s untimely death has left her classmates and the university community in shock.
Bukar Maisandari, a classmate of the deceased, shared the sad news on his Facebook account. He recounted how Maryam collapsed without warning and was pronounced dead not long after.
In his post, Maisandari wrote, “Innaa Lillaahi Wa Innaa Ilaihir Raaji’uun. I received with a heavy heart the news of the sudden death of our classmate Maryam Lawan Goroma. She was healthy and hearty until today afternoon when she suddenly collapsed and was confirmed death shortly.”
He continued, “May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings. May Al-Jannah Firdausi be her final abode. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends and to all my Chemical [Engineering] colleagues. May Allah give you comfort to bear this loss. Ameen.”
