Hajiya Rabi Aminu Dantata, wife of prominent Nigerian business magnate and elder statesman, Aminu Dantata, has died in a hospital in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, after a long illness.
The sad news was confirmed by her grandson, Sanusi Dantata, who took to his verified Twitter account on Saturday to request prayers for his late grandmother. “May Allah forgive her, accept her good deeds, and grant her the highest rank in Paradise, Ameen!” he wrote.
Popularly known as Mama Rabi, she was in her late 70s and had been battling a prolonged illness. She was the second wife of Aminu Dantata and is survived by her husband, six children, and numerous grandchildren.
One of her children, Tajjuddeen Dantata, is a well-known figure in Nigeria’s business community. The family has asked for prayers for the deceased and hopes that Allah will forgive her, accept her good deeds, and grant her the highest rank in paradise.
