We’ll never forget you – Cristiano Ronaldo mourns death of Semedo’s wife

Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo is mourning the loss of a friend, Soraia.

Ronaldo posted an update on social media before Instagram went down on Monday evening, expressing his pain.

Soraia, the wife of footballer, Jose Semedo, lost her life and Ronaldo has been hit hard by her passing, saying he will never forget her.

The Portugal captain has been close friends with the Vitoria Setubal player for quite a long time, and posted a photo of himself and Georgina Rodriguez eating dinner with the couple.

“There are times when everything takes a back seat, including football,” Ronaldo wrote.

“Last week, unexpectedly, a fantastic human being left us, our dear Soraia, a wonderful mother and the wife of one of the best friends life has given me.

“Nothing can erase the pain felt by my brother Jose Semedo and his whole family. But we are together, today as always, in this time to face this difficulty. Rest in peace, my friend. We will never forget you.”
