US records 1,500 COVID-19 deaths in 24 hours

The United States in a single day recorded 1,568 coronavirus deaths.

This brings the total number of deaths in the country to 78,746, according to the real-time tally reported by Johns Hopkins University on Saturday night.

US is presently one of the countries worst hit by the coronavirus pandemic which broke out in Wuhan, China.

The United States has recorded 1,347, 309 coronavirus cases with over 200,000 recoveries.

DAILY POST had reported that the US President, Donald Trump, announced that Vice President, Mike Pence’s Press Secretary, Katie Miller, tested positive for COVID-19.

Miller is the second White House staff member officially confirmed to have tested positive for the coronavirus in a week.

One of Trump’s personal valets had tested positive earlier in the week, however, the president has continued to test negative.
