Transfer: Chelsea cleared to sign Eden Hazard’s replacement for £100m

Chelsea have been cleared by Barcelona to sign midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, in this summer’s transfer window.

Coutinho has drawn interest from Chelsea in recent weeks as the Blues go in search of a replacement for forward, Eden Hazard.

Sport reports that Coutinho will become a Chelsea player at the end of the season only if the West London club pay the sum of £100million.

The Spanish newspaper claimed that the La Liga champions have decided to do away with the services of the Brazilian international.

Coutinho has struggled to live up to expectations since a big-money move from Liverpool in January 2018.

The former Liverpool star was blamed by Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi, for Barca’s Champions League failure.
