Kano State Announces Second Term and Ramadan Vacation Dates for Schools

The Kano State Ministry of Education has announced April 7, 2023, as the start of the second term and Ramadan vacation for all day and boarding public and private primary and post-primary schools in the state. Parents and guardians are urged to bring their wards home from boarding schools by early Friday morning.

In a statement by Aliyu Yusuf, the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Ministry of Education, boarding students are expected to return to their respective schools on April 30, 2023, while day students will resume on May 1, 2023.

The ministry calls on parents and guardians to ensure compliance with the approved resumption dates and wishes students and pupils a successful and smooth vacation, as well as a blessed Ramadan. It also cautions that appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken against students who do not adhere to the specified dates.
