Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello praised All Progressives Congress (APC) members for their impressive turnout and orderly behavior during the ongoing gubernatorial primary election across the state’s 239 wards.
Speaking to journalists at his Agasa Ward in Okene Local Government Area, Bello credited the peaceful conduct of voters to the serene environment established by his administration. He encouraged them to vote for a candidate committed to the ‘New Direction’ administration, ensuring continuity and sustainable development for the state’s overall benefit.
The governor also acknowledged the security agents’ efforts in maintaining law and order while advising them to remain civil in their approach. Bello observed the substantial turnout of party members in the wards, highlighting their financial commitment to the APC.
Early reports indicate that Hon Usman Ahmed Ododo, the former Auditor-General for Local Government, is currently leading the race.
