FIFA Best Player: Why Ronaldo thinks he may not win award

Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo, thinks something has changed following his decision to swap Real Madrid for the Italian giants, according to Marca.

Ronaldo shocked the footballing world when he left Real Madrid for Juventus in a £105million transfer back in July.

The 33-year-old received a red card against Valencia on his Champions League debut last Wednesday

And Marca reports that the Portugal star feels people’s attitude towards him have changed and he has been “persecuted” since his decision to leave Real.

Ronaldo was livid when he missed out on the UEFA Player of the Year award to Luka Modric.

The Portugal captain supposedly felt he should scoop the prize instead of Luka Modric.

The newspaper reports that Ronaldo also reportedly feels his dismissal against Valencia was UEFA’s way of getting revenge for the Modric argument.

When Ronaldo found out Modric would win the gong, he decided not to attend the ceremony.

And Marca claim he now thinks that he may not win the Best FIFA Men’s Player award either.
