EPL: This is only the beginning – Cristiano Ronaldo reacts to United’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa

Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to Manchester United’s 1-0 shocking defeat to Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United suffered a shock 1-0 defeat against Villa courtesy of Kortney Hause’s late header.

The Red Devils were handed a lifeline in stoppage time though after being awarded a penalty but Fernandes played the crucial spot kick over the bar.

It is the Red Devils’ first defeat in all competitions this season with Ronaldo netting four goals in three games prior to Saturday’s league game.

Ronaldo returned to Manchester United from Juventus this summer and has made a huge impact already.

“This is only the begining, but in a competition as strong as the Premier League, every point counts!” The Portugal captain wrote on Instagram.

He assured United fans that the team will bounce back immediately and show their strength.

“We must react immediately, get back on our feet and show our true strength,” he added.
