EPL: Man City responds to Cristiano Ronaldo offer

Manchester City have responded to the offer to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
Reports went viral during the week that Manchester City have been offered the opportunity to sign the Portuguese superstar.
Sergio Aguero, who is the club’s all-time leading scorer, now plays for Barcelona having left Etihad as a free agent at the end of last season.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was said to have made the 36-year-old available to Pep Guardiola’s side for just £25million
City started their title defence with a defeat to Tottenham with Ferran Torres leading the line but he was easily nullified by Tottenham’s defence while Gabriel Jesus has not established himself as City’s first choice striker.
In response, Metro reports that City still consider England captain, Harry Kane as their first choice target this summer, even though Ronaldo would be available for a relatively modest fee, in the region of £25million.
The report said that Harry Kane remains Pep Guardiola’s No.1 transfer priority and will press ahead with plans to sign the Englishman ahead of the impending transfer deadline.
