Catholic priest dies in auto crash year after ordination

The Assistant Parish Priest of Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, Shinge, Lafia, Rev. Fr Hosea Jatau Titus, is dead.

The cleric reportedly died in an auto crash along Kwandere – Keffi road, Nasarawa State.

DAILY POST gathered that Titus had few days before his death celebrated one year in the priesthood.

However, reacting to the development, friends, family and colleagues took to their Facebook to mourn the priest.

Yakubu Silas wrote: “After ten years of intense and tasking seminary training, you died after one year of priesthood. After joyfully celebrating your one year in priesthood, you left sorrowfully. But how can you say goodbye when you were on a mission when you suddenly died in accident.The deceased used to be a seminary newscaster. Rest in paradise Fr Hosea Jatau Titus of Lafia Diocese”

Another colleague, Mike Raphael wrote,” A sudden and sad death of a young priest. After ten years of intense and tasking seminary training, you died after one year a priest,After planning to joyfully celebrate your one year in priesthood, you left us sorrowfully,After a nice time with people of God during Sunday Thanksgiving you left on Tuesday without goodbye,But how can you say goodbye when you were on a mission when you suddenly died in accident.

”My dear seminary newscaster, your memory will ever remain green in the heart of many. Rest in Paradise Fr Hosea Jatau Titus of Lafia Diocese,until we meet to behold the face of God forever.”

But, when DAILY POST contacted the State Public Relations Officers, PPRO, SP Kennedy Idirisu, he could not confirm the incident as at the time of filing this report.

Idrisu, however, promised to give more details as at a later time.
