Transfer: Lille confirm arrival of Super Eagles forward with Pepe set for Arsenal

Lille, on Thursday morning, announced the arrival of Victor Osimhen.

A tweet in French on their verified Twitter page read: “Le Super Eagle, Victor Osimhen au #LOSC!”

DAILY POST yesterday reported that Osimhen had arrived France for his medicals.

The Ligue 1 club and his Belgian club, Sporting Charleroi, had agreed a €12m fee including bonuses for the 20-year-old.

Osimhen has now put pen to paper on a five-year deal with Lille.

He joined Charleroi on loan from German club, Wolfsburg, last August and scored 20 goals in 40 games for the club.

He made just one appearance in the AFCON competition as the Super Eagles won bronze at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Osimhen arrived Lille as their main man, Nicolas Pepe, is departing for Arsenal.

Pepe is expected to be unveiled at the Emirates before this weekend.
