Transfer: James Rodriguez’s new club finally confirmed

Real Madrid attacking midfielder, James Rodriquez is set to join La Liga rivals, Atletico Madrid, this week.

According to Esto Es Atleti, the Los Blancos have agreed on an initial deal of around €50million with the Los Rojiblancos for the Colombia international.

The Spanish newspaper is reporting that the fee for Rodriquez could rise with various add-ons.

The report also claimed that Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone, wants the club to announce the deal for the 27-year-old before their pre-season friendly against Numancia on July 20.

DAILY POST had reported that Rodriquez was among the 14 players Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid allowed Rodriguez to join Bayern on a two-year loan deal last summer.
