Transfer: Arsenal confirm £10million deal for defender

Arsenal have confirmed the sale of Krystian Bielik to Championship side, Derby County, for a fee of £10million ($12m).

The 21-year-old defender, who joined from Legia Warsaw In 2015, leaves north London without having made a single Premier League appearance for the club.

Bielik’s only two outings in a Gunners shirt came in the Carabao Cup.

He enjoyed a successful loan spell at Charlton Athletic last season, helping the club earn promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.

He could make his Rams debut in their Championship season opener against Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Monday.

“We would like to thank Krystian for his contribution to the club and everyone at Arsenal wishes him all the best for the future.

“The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes,” Arsenal said in their official website.
