Taraba APC Recommends Expulsion of Senator-Elect Jimkuta from Party

The State Working Committee (SWC) members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba state have ratified the suspension of Senator-elect for Taraba South, David Jimkuta, and recommended his expulsion to the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC). Additionally, the SWC expelled former governorship aspirant and erstwhile board member of the North East Development Commission (NEDC), David Kente.

The state chairman of the party, Ibrahim El-Sudi, disclosed the SWC’s resolution to newsmen in Jalingo, the state capital. According to him, Jimkuta failed to honor the invitation from the APC Takum Local Government’s 5-man Disciplinary Committee, which led to his suspension and recommended expulsion. El-Sudi explained that Jimkuta stands suspended from the party henceforth.

El-Sudi also mentioned the expulsion of Chief David Sabo Kente for a series of allegations and offenses against the party, following his refusal to honor invitations from the APC Wukari LGA. The State Working Committee ratified the decision of the APC Wukari Local Government Area, resulting in Kente’s expulsion from the All Progressives Congress.

Finally, El-Sudi noted that 14 of the 18 SWC members of the APC took the decision and reaffirmed that he remains the authentic state chairman of the party.
