Seria A: Cristiano Ronaldo named Player of the Year

Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been awarded the Serie A Player of the Season.

Ronaldo wins the prize in his first year in Italian football, following a €100million from Real Madrid last summer.

The Portugal captain featured in the Juve side, that clinched their eighth straight Scudetto, scoring 21 goals for Max Allegri’s side.

Ronaldo has now won domestic player of the year in England, Spain and Italy.

The other winner included Inter’s Samir Handanovic, who was crowned Goalkeeper of the Year.

Kalidou Koulibaly scoops the Defender of the Year gong, and the Napoli man is joined by Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic (Midfielder of the Year), Fabio Quagliarella of Sampdoria (Striker of the Year) and Nicolo Zaniola, who plays for Roma (Young Talent of the Year).
