Oyo APC crisis worsens as party submits two lists to CECPC

The crisis rocking Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken another dimension as the two groups battling to control the party submitted two separate lists of state executive to the national secretariat of the party.

DAILY POST recalls that the party had on Saturday, October 30, 2021 had its state congress.

The congress, which produced commissioner for Lands and Housing, Mr. Ajiboye Omodewu as Chairman, was however boycotted by some chieftains of the party.

The aggrieved members alleged that the delegates’ list has been manipulated.

It was gathered that the delegates who were sent to the state from Abuja had submitted the list of those who emerged at the congress held at Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

The list has Ajiboye Omodewu as Chairman and Mrs Tinuade Adigun as woman leader.

Our correspondent however learnt on Wednesday that the second group led by the outgoing Chairman of the party, Chief Akintola Oke had submitted another list to the national secretariat of the party.

It was gathered that Oke summited the list to the national secretariat of the party this week.

The list of the second group had Chief Abu Gbadamosi as Chairman and Mrs Omobola Odekunbi as woman leader.

Our correspondent gathered from members of the party that the two lists have been submitted to the national secretariat of the party, even though the second group did not conduct any congress.

Our correspondent learnt that the national secretariat of the party is currently at crossroads over which list is to recognise.
