Nigeria vs Algeria: What Samuel Chukwueze said about AFCON semi-final clash

Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has disclosed that his side are not scared of Algeria ahead of both teams’ 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, semi-final fixture on Sunday.

The Villarreal star, who won the Man of the Match award in Nigeria’s 2-1 win over South Africa last Wednesday, stated that the Desert Foxes are beatable.

The 20-year-old noted that Algeria have a good team but that the Super Eagles are not afraid of any team at this stage of the competition.

Nigeria head to the game after defeating South Africa in the quarter-final, while Algeria defeated Ivory Coast to advance further.

“Algeria is a good team, but we are not scared of them. We can’t be scared of any team at this stage of the competition,” Chukwueze told Completesports.

“It is true that a lot of people have tipped them to win the trophy, but we will prove them wrong on Sunday.

“We saw their game against Ivory Coast. It was an interesting game between two top quality teams. For us, we are not afraid, they are beatable”
