Bello stated this while inspecting work on the 15.5km dual-carriage way on the Minna-Bida road, said soon payment of would commence.
According to him, the state government has already completed payment for the first stage, while compensation for those in the second phase would start next week.
He stated, “Compensation is paid in stages and the state government has completed payment for the first stage. Very soon the second stage payment will commence.”
” Hopefully, next week, we will start compensating those in second stage. If they continue at this pace, they will meet up as long as we don’t have any hitches as regards to funding.”
Earlier, the Project Manager, Dantata and Sawoe, Naafey Bin Shaukat had told the Governor that presently, almost 12Km of the left hand side of the road has been asphalted and work is ongoing on the right hand side of the road from Kpakungu to Garatu.
The road contract was initially awarded for 83kms but was reviewed to 15.5km dual-carriage way in order to decongest the road.
The governor also visited the 5 number roads 2.86km Old Alheri Road Tunga, the 2.25 Imani road as well as a 3.2km canal at F-lay out 1 and 2.
