Mido tells Tottenham coach, Pochettino what to do to Kane

Former Egyptian and Tottenham Hotspur attacker, Mido has advised manager, Mauricio Pochettino to give striker, Harry Kane a rest.

Kane started the new campaign with three goals and one assist from seven matches in all competitions for Pochettino’s side.

Mido, however, believes that Pochettino should allow Kane to rest for ten days so that the 25-year-old can get back on form to resume scoring goals for Spurs.

“I think Kane needs a rest,” Mido told Sky Sports News.

“I remember five or six years ago, maybe a bit more, Wayne Rooney came after the World Cup and he looked a little bit fatigued and tired, so Sir Alex Ferguson decided to give him a vacation for a couple of weeks. He came back a different player.

“I know that it is difficult for Tottenham because there is no other striker who can provide the same service as Harry Kane does but if I was in the place of Pochettino, I would look at when is the best time to give him a good week or 10 days.

“He looks tired. England reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, it has been a long summer, not easy mentally, a lot of stress, and to come back in and get ready for pre-season and ready for the new season with all of the pressure again straightaway, it is not easy.”
