Liverpool vs Chelsea: Jurgen Klopp speaks on Sarri

Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has heaped praise on Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, ahead of their Carabao Cup clash at Anfield on Wednesday.

Chelsea will take on Liverpool on Wednesday night, with both sides defending an unbeaten start to the season.

Sarri had downplayed his side’s title credentials, insisting that Chelsea were still well behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City

But Klopp told a press conference on Tuesday that he has been massively impressed with the Blues under Sarri’s guidance.

He said, “You have seen immediately the impact, he has all my respect. I don’t know why people aren’t talking about them.

“This team has experience, won title already, 80 per cent twice, they know how it works. That is a really good, strong group.

“He had a very interrupted pre-season and starting the season he’s had an immediate impact and very good to watch.

“He’s done a very good job. You cannot forget Chelsea in the title race – they know how it works and that’s a really good, really strong football team.”
