The Kano State House of Assembly has approved a request from state Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, to appoint twenty special advisers. The request letter, read by House Speaker Ismail Jibrin Falgore during a Wednesday plenary session, underwent thorough deliberation before gaining unanimous approval from the House.
The House adjourned until June 19, 2023, following a motion proposed by Majority Leader Hon. Lawan Husaini (Dala) and supported by Minority Leader Hon. Labaran Abdul Madari (Warawa). As reported by Daily Trust, this session marked the first sitting of the 10th state House of Assembly since the swearing-in of its members on Tuesday. In later proceedings, the House elected Ismail Jibrin Falgore of the NNPP as its speaker.
