Finalize Hajj Payments by April 21 or Loss Your Spot, Warns Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has warned intending pilgrims who have deposited partial payments with the board to complete their Hajj payments by April 21 or risk losing their Hajj slots. The board’s Executive Secretary, Alhaji Mohammad Danbatta, emphasized the urgency while speaking with reporters on Saturday.

Danbatta noted that the Hajj fare collection deadline is approaching, as the pilgrimage draws nearer. Intending pilgrims must pay N2.9 million as Hajj fare, with this year’s increase attributed to the rising dollar exchange rate and increased tax revenue from Saudi Arabia and airlines.

The Executive Secretary also announced that the screening of the state’s intending pilgrims would begin after April 21, following the closure of the fare collection across the 44 local government areas in Kano State.
