The Gombe chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended Senator Amos Bulus (APC-Gombe) and Representative Yunusa Abubakar, who represents the Yamaltu-Deba Federal Constituency, due to alleged anti-party activities. The suspensions were announced in a statement by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Moses Kyari, on Saturday in Gombe.

Kyari stated that both lawmakers were suspended by their ward executives after engaging in anti-party activities during the 2023 general election in the state. Senator Bulus was suspended by the Ward Executives of Bambam in the Balanga Local Government Area.
According to Kyari, a five-man committee from the ward investigated the allegations against Bulus, based on a petition, but the Senator failed to defend himself. As a result, the committee recommended his suspension from the party. Abubakar’s suspension was based on the recommendations of a disciplinary committee, which found him guilty of anti-party activities. The state APC Executive Council has ratified the suspensions of both lawmakers.
