A fire outbreak occurred at the Nigerian Air Force Base along Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the early hours of Wednesday, causing panic among residents and workers in the area. The cause of the incident remains unknown.
An official from the force confirmed the development, stating that the combined efforts of the force and the Federal Fire Service extinguished the fire. The military base is located next to the Nigerian Correctional Service National Headquarters and along the main road to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport.
Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Air Force, has yet to respond to calls and text messages requesting comments at the time of filing this report.
