EPL: Guardiola chooses between Messi, Harry Kane for next transfer

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has ruled out signing free agent Lionel Messi and will instead continue to chase Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane.
Kane is determined to leave Spurs this summer and is yet to report for pre-season training.
City made a £100m bid for the striker in June, but it was rejected by Spurs.
On Thursday, Messi also became available, after Barcelona announced he will not be signing a new deal with the club.
Hours later, City confirmed the arrival of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for a British record £100m.
Guardiola now has his eyes on another member of the England national team and not Messi.
“He (Kane) is a player for Tottenham Hotspur and if Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it is finished.
“I think Man City and many clubs in the world want to try to sign him, we are not an exception, but it depends on Tottenham.
“It is different to Jack. He had the release [clause] and Jack is different. Harry is exceptional and we are interested in him but if Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, nothing more to say,” Guardiola told a press conference on Friday.
