EPL: Ajax goalkeeper, Onana chooses Chelsea

Ajax goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has chosen to play for Chelsea.

According to the Daily Mail, the Cameroon shot-stopper wants to leave Ajax in the summer transfer window later this year and Chelsea is his number choice.

The newspaper reports that Chelsea’s Premier League rival, Manchester United reportedly made an offer for Onana last summer amid concerns about David de Gea’s long-term future at Old Trafford.

Ajax could demand as much as £50million for Onana, who has been impressive for Erik ten Hag’s side so far this season.

Onana joined Ajax from Barcelona in 2016.

The 23-year-old has made over 150 appearances for the Eredivisie champions.

His current contract at Ajax will expire in 2022.
