Eight Abducted by Gunmen in Benue’s Owukpa Community

Eight people have reportedly been abducted by gunmen in the Owukpa community, located in the Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State. According to local sources, the incident occurred on Sunday evening along the Atamka-Ugbugbu road in Owukpa, as the victims were returning from the Ahor-Ogbo Market.

The abductors are said to have ambushed the victims and taken them to an unknown location. Prince Samuel Onu, a former council chairman of Ogbadibo, confirmed the incident to journalists in Makurdi.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, has not yet confirmed the abduction, as calls and text messages to her phone have gone unanswered.
