Coronavirus: Deji Adeyanju declares Nigerian systems ineffective after second confirmed case

Deji Adeyanju, convener of Concerned Nigerians, on Monday lamented that Nigeria has no working system.

Adeyanju made the remark while cautioning Nigerians to be careful as the Nigerian government confirmed a new case of Coronavirus in the country.

In a tweet, the activist urged Nigerians to be careful because those actually affected with the disease in the country can’t be ascertained.

DAILY POST had reported that the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, had confirmed a fresh case of Coronavirus in Lagos State.

Ehanire had disclosed that the latest victim was a Nigerian who had contact with the Italian citizen who tested positive to the virus.

Ehanire, while assuring Nigerians that the situation was under control, noted that the patient has been quarantined.

The Minister had on February 27, 2020 confirmed the first case of the virus in the country.

Reacting, Adeyanju in a tweet wrote: “BREAKING: Nigeria confirms 2nd case of Corona Virus.

“Guys, be careful out there. Only God knows how many people have been infected. You all know we don’t have a working system in this country so we can’t really know the real number of infections.”
