Champions League: What Ivan Rakitic said after Liverpool’s 3-0 loss to Barcelona

Barcelona midfielder, Ivan Rakitic has reacted to his side’s 3-0 victory over Liverpool in the Champions League semi-final first leg tie on Wednesday night.

A strike from Luis Suarez and a brace from Lionel Messi gave Ernesto Valverde’s men all three points against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Camp Nou.

Rakitic thanked Barcelona fans for their support during the match, adding that he and his teammates will “fight to finish the work” in the second leg at Anfield next week.

In a tweet, the Croatian international wrote: “Great victory in @ChampionsLeague thanks fondness for support! We will fight to try to finish the work in Anfield!

“Great win tonight. We will fight to try to get the job done next week in Anfield!!#UCL #ForçaBarça #LeoMessi.”
