BBNaija 2021: Maria gets death threats for nominating housemates for eviction

Big Brother Naija, BBNaija housemate, Maria, has received death threats after she nominated housemates for eviction on Monday.

Her social media handler disclosed this on Tuesday via Maria’s official Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Recall that Maria, as a Wildcard, nominated Whitemoney, Yerins, Jaypaul and Beatrice for eviction.

She has been under attack as some fans went to her page criticizing her decision.

Maria’s handler in a post said insults and death threats have been sent to Maria’s direct messages after the nomination.

The handler revealed the Diary Room nomination for Maria was a difficult one for her.

BBNaija: Maria in tears as she nominates Whitemoney, Beatrice, others for eviction

The post read, “We’ve been through a lot with our Fly Girl since she was revealed as Biggie’s wildcard.

“Maria has been called all sorts of names for delivering on the assignment that finally saved her and made her an official contestant on the show.

“Her exclusive nomination on Monday also placed her on the chopping block by lots of viewers, and this has got people cursing, trolling and sending death threats in her comment sections and DMs.

The handler urged viewers to be patient with Maria as she did what needed to be done.

“No one deserves to die or get seriously threatened for going on a reality TV show and making harmless choices.

“It’s hurtful to see these things and it is more difficult to see Maria go through these emotions, but the Maria that we know will surely pull through.”

The handler assured that Maria is being real with her emotions as her crying after nomination was real.

“Whatever you see on your screen as Maria is what you would get in real life as Maria, no faking of anything whatsoever.

“She is so emotional and does not hide how she feels, and her expression of these emotions could be in the actions she takes or the things she says.

“Let us allow Maria be the human that she is on this journey, by showing her vulnerability and strength. This period is a trying time for her and she needs us to come out of this strong,” the post read.
