Atiku reacts to PDP Chairman’s death

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has reacted to the death of the party Chairman in Jos East Local Government Area, LGA, Salisu Nashinang.

Alhaji Nashinang, who was part of the party’s delegate to the elective National Convention in Port Harcourt, died during a robbery attack within the week.

The former Vice President took to Twitter to express his condolence to the friends and family of the late politician.

He tweeted, “I received sad news of the loss of Alh. Salisu Nashinang, Ag. Chair, Jos East LGA, Plateau and a delegate to @OfficialPDPNig National Convention at the weekend in Port Harcourt following a robbery incident.

“My deepest condolences to his family. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Raaji’oon.”

Atiku emerged winner of the PDP presidential primary on Sunday by defeating 12 other contenders including the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal; Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki; former Senate President David Mark; and others.
