APC releases schedule of activities for Osun, Ekiti 2022 governorship elections

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the schedule of activities preparatory for Ekiti and Osun 2022 governorship elections.

By 2022, the incumbent governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, will serve out his first term of four years in office, while his Ekiti State counterpart, Kayode Fayemi would have concluded his second tenure of office, hence, both states will face fresh elections.

In the official notice which was signed by the National Secretary of the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, Sen. John James Akpanudoedehe on Sunday and sighted by DAILY POST, the party has announced that sales of nomination forms for both States have been slated for 16th and 18th November respectively.

Though the cost of governorship election nomination forms for APC could not be confirmed as at Sunday, checks on the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) showed that no official moves has been made with respect to the elections yet.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had earlier fixed June 18, and July 16, 2022, for the Ekiti and Osun governorship elections.
