The New Nigeria Peoples Party’s (NNPP) National Working Committee has appointed Abba Kawu-Ali as the party’s acting National Chairman. This decision comes after Professor Rufai Alkali resigned from the position earlier in the week.
In a letter to the party’s National Secretary, Alkali cited the need for fresh leadership to reposition the NNPP for greater responsibilities as the reason for his resignation. Prior to this new appointment, Kawu-Ali served as the NNPP’s National Vice Chairman for the North-East region.
