2019: Nigerians must trigger revolution – Olisa Agbakoba

A frontline human right activist, Olisa Agbakoba (SAN) on Monday charged Nigerians to trigger revolution ahead of 2019 general election.

Speaking at an interactive session in Abuja which was organised by the Presidential flag bearer of the Peoples Trust Party, Gbenga Hashim Olawepo, he recalled that the brand of democracy being practised now was not what his likes struggled for during the military era.

Represented by the National Secretary of the party, Mr. Olawale Ogunnaiyi at the occasion, he carpeted the anti-corruption fight of President Muhammadu Buhari, saying Nigerians were hungry.

“Let me be very clear to all Nigerians that you are all hungry and the anti-corruption stance of Buhari led-government is a charade.

“There must be a revolution which must be triggered by Nigerians to set themselves free.

He added that Buhari has run out of ideas, stressing that Nigerian themselves were aware of this fact, ”and they must be ready to free themselves”.
