2018 Ballon d’ Or: Ronaldo, others to snub ceremony

Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo will not attend tonight’s 2018 Ballon d’Or ceremony in Paris, France.

According to Sky Sport’s Alessandro Alciato, Ronaldo could however be imitated by Atletico Madrid ace, Antoine Griezmann.

Ronaldo and Griezmann were both shortlisted for this year’s Ballon d’ Or two months ago.

Alciato also claimed that Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric will win the Ballon d’ Or ahead of Ronaldo and Griezmann.

Ronaldo and Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi had dominated the award for ten years now.

The pair have won an incredible five awards each, with Ronaldo equalling Messi’s tally last year.
