The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has lost his elder brother, Alhaji Buhari Abubakar III.
The deceased was the district head of Sokoto North.
Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has sent his condolences to the monarch.
In his message, Tinubu described the late Abubakar as an excellent community leader and a devoted Muslim.
“He contributed immensely towards the propagation of Islam in his domain and beyond.
“May Almighty Allah console and comfort him and the entire Abubakar family over this loss”, Tinubu said.
The former Lagos Governor asked God to give the family the strength to bear the loss.
He further prayed that Allah would repose the soul of the royal family member.
