Identity of man who jumped into Lagos lagoon revealed

The man who drowned after reportedly jumping into the lagoon on Friday has been identified as a worker at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN).

DAILY POST had reported that the corpse of a man who jumped into the lagoon from the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos was recovered by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) riders, and his remains taken to Ebute Ero division.

According to the commander of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Tunji Disu, the deceased parked the vehicle he was driving on the Third Mainland Bridge and told other occupants of the vehicle that he wanted to urinate.

However, a staff of FRCN, who pleaded anonymity, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the deceased was a driver attached to an Assistant Director in charge of Information Communication Technology unit of the corporation.

Describing him as a gentleman, the source said the deceased was newly posted from the FRCN Training School in Shogunle to the Broadcasting House in Ikoyi, Lagos.
