Atiku Congratulates Fintiri on Adamawa Guber Victory

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Governor Umaru Fintiri on his re-election as the governor of Adamawa state. In a statement shared on his verified Twitter account, Atiku described Fintiri’s victory as a triumph for democracy, asserting that it demonstrates the power of good to overcome bad.

Atiku added that Fintiri’s win serves as a precursor for his own success at the presidential election tribunal, where he is challenging the election of President-elect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He expressed his gratitude to the people of Adamawa and other supporters for resisting “coupists and enemies of democracy.”

The former vice president called for continued vigilance to protect democracy and the mandate of the people, as freely expressed in their votes. Atiku remains optimistic about winning at the presidential election tribunal and reclaiming what he views as a stolen mandate for the good of Nigeria and its people.

Recall that Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was initially declared the winner of the election by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Adamawa state, Hudu Yunusa-Ari. This premature declaration sparked public outcry, leading to Yunusa-Ari’s suspension and the eventual announcement of Fintiri as the true winner of the Adamawa governorship election.
