The actress made her position known via her Instagram handle @officialmaryambooth.
Recent reports suggested that the Kannywood stars were divided between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Booth, who was appointed few month ago alongside others, said her resignation was effective from 24th December, 2018.
The actress wrote, “I will like to announce my resignation as the national vice-chairman of Atiku Care Foundation from 24th December 2018.
“Thanks for the few months, Thank you for the support and the opportunities that you have provided me during the last 4 months.
“I have truly enjoyed my tenure with [Atiku Care Foundation], and I am more than grateful.”
