How prostitutes, robbers stopped Ahmed Lawan from becoming Senate President – Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, has revealed those who denied Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan the chance of becoming President of the eighth senate.

Tinubu said political prostitutes and robbers conspired against Lawan.

He spoke during a roundtable themed: “The Imperatives of Building Institutions for Lasting Legacies’ to mark the 69th birthday of Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, on Saturday.

The APC National Leader explained that these prostitutes and thieves stopped Lawan from becoming Senate President for selfish reasons.

The former Governor of Lagos State stated that he saw leadership qualities in Lawan, which was why it resolved to make him the Senate President but was denied despite his consistent and progressive stand.

According to Tinubu, “Senator Lawan, thank you very much. It will come from you as the institution. You are a great example of a very consistent and intellectually resourceful leader that we have in this country.

“We saw in him, these leadership traits and the qualities we wanted in the Senate President. We know you are qualified and competent to be, that you would have led the most important arm of our government more effectively but the political prostitutes and their robbers and their collaborators denied you of it because of selfishness and selfish aggrandisement.”
