VP debate: Peter Obi speaks on falling out with Atiku

The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi, has insisted he will never fall out with the party’s presidential flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar.

Obi stated this, while speaking during Friday’s vice-presidential debate.

When asked about Nigeria’s major problem and how he will ensure it is eradicted if elected, the former Anambra State Governor replied: “The main problem of this country is it’s economy. The Vice President’s role is the economy, debt management.

“We will be working together to make Nigeria work again, so there’s no way I will fall out with Atiku.”

The debate was put together by the Nigerian Election Debate Group, NEDG and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria, BON.

The parties represented were: Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Young Progressives Party (YPP).

Others who participated were: Yemi Osinbajo (APC), Umma Getso (YPP), Alhaji Abdulganiyu Galadima (ACPN) and Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya (ANN).
