Kano State Governor-elect, Abba Kabir Yusuf, recently shared on Twitter that he was privileged to participate in the sewing of the Kiswa, the holy Ka’aba’s wrapper, during his Umrah visit to the Holy Land of Mecca. This rare opportunity signifies a deep honor for the Governor-elect.

Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed his gratitude by tweeting, “Alhamdulillah… During my recent visit to the Holy Land of Mecca for Umrah, I was privileged to be invited to witness and participate in the sewing of the Kiswa (wrapper) of the Holy Ka’aba. It’s such a rare opportunity and I’m glad to have it. Alhamdulillah once again!”

The Kiswa is an intricate black and gold cloth that covers the Ka’aba, a sacred site for Muslims worldwide. Sewing the Kiswa is a highly revered act, and being invited to participate in the process signifies immense respect and recognition.
