2019: Agbaje claims Lagos will have two Governors if Sanwo-Olu wins, explains why

Jimi Agbaje, the governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, has claimed that the state will be having two governors if Babajide Sanwo-Olu wins next year’s election.

Writing on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday morning, Agbaje claimed that Sanwo-Olu’s running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, will be the second Governor.

According to him, Hamzat, who was going to choose Sanwo-Olu as his Chief of Staff in 2014, will never see himself as his deputy.

“Lagos deserves a free hand and independent mind; someone who is not tied to the apron strings of a Godfather.

“On running mate Dr Obafemi Hamzat: Lagos is getting an amazing deal, two governors wrapped in one.

“Two governors wrapped in one as presented by you is an elixir for anarchy in governance. You were billed to be Obafemi Hamzat’s Chief of Staff in his attempt to run for office in 2014. He cannot and will not truly see himself as your deputy.

“With two powerful energies, the ego battles can only be imagined,” Agbaje wrote.
